Suhad earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She received her Yoga Teacher certification in India and training in Nutrition Therapy to provide a holistic approach integrating various health component’s effects on mental health and well-being. Suhad’s experience includes individual and family therapy ranging from outpatient substance use prevention and treatment to the public school setting for English and Spanish speaking youth and families. She draws from multiple theories and cultural awareness to help surface internal thought processes and schemas into tangible behavioral changes geared toward aligning the young person and their family with their dreams and goals.
In her office you may find a football, journals, art supplies, sand tray, muck boots, a mirror, and a magnificent view of the mountains outside of Moonridge- all of which are available to be tied into a session. Suhad wakes up excited to make the breathtaking mountain view drive to Moonridge Academy for the honor of facilitating the transformational work the families’ and youth will do during their time at Moonridge Academy.
